Kara is getting pretty mobile. Don't confuse this with crawling...because she can't do that (I'm trying not to stress out or think "my baby isn't developing!!"). She's great at getting up on her knees but then she doesn't crawl, at least not forward. I guess those chunky legs just get in the way. But she does surprise me when I put her down and 5 minutes later she's in a totally different spot without ever actually crawling (she's a sneaky rat baby, as Trevor called her while she was still in utero. Don't be alarmed. It's a term of endearment..haha..). She is getting close to figuring out how to coordinate arms and legs. Also, she can pull herself up to her knees. Not to her feet, just her knees...and sometimes a knee and an outstretched foot. She's my little late bloomer. :) Though, I think she'll figure it out all at once, and then I'll have a crawling, climbing, walking monster on my hands. So I shouldn't complain, right ;)
So the video is over 2 minutes but by the end you can see how she has moved...or scooted across the floor. That's how she rolls...literally.
Somehow, despite the crappy, rainy weather here in Utah, it has been sunny enough for me to get my first ever watch tan. I'm not really sure how it happened, but one day I looked down while not wearing my watch and there it was. It must be from the rare walks to the park Kara and I take. That, or from walking to the mailbox and back?? It's nothing to brag about, but it's proof that there is hope that summer will eventually make an appearance (though I bemoan the loss of a "typical" Utah Spring).
She's such a reverent baby
Gotta love a double chin :)
I love how she looks like she's peeking over the edge of the swing. It makes her look so little.
